Magnets will not harm your credit cards, though they may deactivate weaker cards like hotel keys.
The Name: Since this wallet uses magnets, and I’m a hypnotist by trade, it’s named for Franz Anton Mesmer the founder of “magnetism” which evolved into hypnosis. You can read about him here if you are interested.
