My leatherwork is about to get more productive!

I’m pretty excited!

I’ve just ordered a Leather sewing machine. It’s a BIG investment, and quite frankly, I don’t make enough from selling leather to justify it. However, I’m a semi-pro and enthusiastic hobbyist – so I can make exceptions.

I’m justifying it because it’ll help me make more cool things faster. Some items will still be hand-stitched. Sometimes from necessity, sometimes because it’s the aesthetic that I’ll be going for, but the tedious, unseen or unappreciated sewing that takes hours, will now take minutes.

This will allow me to keep trying new projects, some of which I’m avoiding right now because a larger duffel bag would take way too long to hand sew.

Your purchases help keep me going and I’m working hard every day that I’m home and not on stage somewhere to get better and better at my leatherwork and I plan to keep pushing myself to learn, to fail (which I’ve done pretty hard lately if you follow me on Instagram) 🙂 and to make some pieces that are heirloom quality.

I work hard for the “Tiny Anvil Leather” brand to mean quality – and most of all, I’m continuing to choose the projects that will help me grow and that get me excited to get out to the workbench every morning.
